About Me

I like to talk. Besides, I eat and sleep a lot. I enjoy food so much. MMM. Hanging out with pals is one of my normal activities and oh.. I like roses. Nobody knew that (= I'm not nice when I'm annoyed. Who would? If you know me well enough, you'll agree to me that I'm a crazy and funny mofo!! As for music, it doesn't even have to be listed out because it's already a necessity in life.

Back from Canton already!!

Posted by mayyan at 04:25 PM on July 1, 2006.

Time flies when you're having fun! Without realising how fast time passes, it's already July. 7 months gone for my gap year.

Back to the topic. China trip! Afterall, the trip was awesome. I enjoyed myself there and Victor's family members were good too. And also the amount of pocket money which I got from his mum was indeed, umm... very much? Can't find a proper word. Things're so cheap there! You can shop like a queen there~ Wheee~ But no I didn't get much stuff for myself, spent mostly on food and drinks (as always). It was summer and the weather was hot. Not an ideal weather to walk along the streets. & also like what I've mentioned in my previous entry, the drivers were fantastic, I wonder if there's any traffic laws there.

I had to climb up to the 4th floor everyday because guest rooms're at the 4th floor. Good exercise.

Brian the cousin got his hair highlighted and apparently my aunt wasn't very happy about it. However, the nerd described that day as 'the best day of the trip'. He coloured the hair for the very first time in his life and also went for karaoke for the first time as well. He sang really random english songs and I find it really funny.

Whenever we went out for dinner it's common that we couldn't finish the food cause his dad loved ordering lotsa food until we couldn't finish it. Seafood was so awesome, I miss eating the lobster noodles. Mmm... *drools*

I miss Dongguan =(

Anyhow, the flight back to Malaysia didn't go very well. Boyfriend and I reached Guangzhou airport 2 hours before boarding time and we spent an hour or so chatting and saying countless goodbyes, haha. Yeah I miss him terribly although I'll be seeing him again in like 4 days . Anyhow.. we took our own sweet time walking to the immigration hall and shit.. After queueing up and all, the person in charge told me :" Sorry miss, this is the domestic flight hall.."

EFFFF... It was already 2.40pm and my flight was at 3.05pm. I had to walk like super fast until i reached the international terminal. After that, I realised that my gate was number 13 and it was the frigging last gate, damn! Rushed like there's no tomorrow, and what made it worse was that I was carrying the 5 kilos' fruit and also another kilo's hand luggage. Whoaaa~ Luckily I still managed to catch the flight. Phew. I've finally experienced the feelings of missing flight. (No wait, I actually missed one before when I was flying off to Melbourne from Brisbane this year.. But it's different cause it wasn't my fault when the plane was delayed!)

I had the best plane meal ever . Beef rice mmm.. Compared to all the previous meals I had that was considered the tastiest one, so far. But it felt kinda pathetic cause I was all alone. I missed him so much

===

Catching up with pals feels great! Last night, a Russian pianist, Illya Yakushev, was playing in my church. It seems that he won the World's Best Pianist award last year. Anyway, he's a friend of Megan, and Megan is Yeen Yeen's cousin from New York. So yes, I went there last minute and of course Jin was surprised to see me. So many people attended and seriously I didn't expect to see so many friends there. Sing, Aud and Kee Loon are all back, looks like I won't be bored in these few days, teehee~ Oh yeahhh.. Aunty Judy's mum was there too! It's been a while since I last saw her in Singapore. I like her Chinese accent a lot. As in.. When she speaks mandarin, it's those professional chinese accent type. Oh well, she grew up from Shanghai, what do you expect?

The pianist and the people

To make it short, I'm not gonna list out everyone's names. If you ever bother looking out for me, I'm standing next to the Russian guy. On the left. (It's obvious that there's only one caucasian in this photo aight?)

Yakushev, Me and Aunty Judy

Had some drinks at Lohsy's, and the iced blended chocolate there still tasted like syrup. They need to do something about it man..

Was supposed to have my driving lesson this morning but it was too early. Canceled it and slept till noon. Almost had lunch with Kah Ling and her mum but bleh, no transport and all. Figured that I wouldn't make it in time too anyway so maybe we'll have dinner later at night instead. I miss her mum =) Ok so I ate with my parents. Saw Leon Sing's dad at a bookstore in Canning just now. I bet he actually couldn't remember who I was when I said hi and also told him who I was when he went " Hey.. you are..?" Nvm that, it's been almost a year since I last saw him. Speaking of which, I haven't seen the son for quite some time already. Hmmmmmmmmz.

Gotta scram now anyway. My laptop's infected with bloody virus and it's uber slow. Therefore, dad's making noise cause I've been hogging on his computer for quite some time already gahaha. Alright, I can't wait for Wednesday.

xoxoxo~ *smooch~*

Wings

Monday blues... For all the school kids! Gahaha!

===

That was random.  Anyhoo.. Whee~ Two more days till Wednesday!

Audrey's leaving to NZ soon, dined with her and also a bunch of friends yesterday as a farewell for her. It was quite fun anyway, been talking and talking and making a hell lotta hilarious jokes. Ling's boyfriend's good cause he understands my jokes ha.

Anyways, yeah, seems like everyone's going off except for a few. Gab has left as well, not very far, though. Just kl. Hmz, I'll be away for 3 months as well and by the time I get back everyone'll be gone again. Wish I could stay here for a little while more, that's not impossible though, all I need to do is just changing the date for my flight.

And also, at frigging last, I'm having my driving test on Friday. Feels good to know that I'm almost done with that driving mission, whee.

Am feeling blank now anyways, I thought of writing quite a lot but no, apparently that's not the case anymore.

Nothing to do tomorrow, anyone who's up with something?

(Just realised that most of my paragraphs start with an A!)

Can't get in Tabulas pages for the whole afternoon today, I wonder what's wrong with it. My tagboard came up with some warnings as well, wtf's goin on?

OH yeah, Worldcup final soon! Speaking of football, I haven't written anything about it at all. Well, I used to watch a lotta football but as time goes by, it's either the interest is gone or I'm a busier person already, ha. However, it's quite sad that Brasil can't even get in semi-final. I'm gonna support France anyway, big nono to Germany cause they're annoying me. Whichever country wins makes no big difference to my life anyway because I'm not betting at all this year. I'm just merely joining the fun and feeling the atmosphere which only happens once every 4 years. =D

Gonna watch the final in Genting together with boyfriend, sister and also brother-in-law, and their friends. Starting from Wednesday all my boredom will vanish all by itself, YESS~~

Nano is so expensive in Malaysia. =(

Still gonna get one anyway. (Don't ask me why am I getting another one when I have the video one already because it's not for myself lah.)

Screw that. At least I can save up like 200 ringgit. So.. yeah.

And also..

GERMANY IS OUT! NYAHAHAHA!! Joy~

I'm feeling all excited now, not because of football anyway!

What an ass day..

Posted by mayyan at 02:41 AM on July 15, 2006.

Many things happened during the past week! That explains the late update.

Shall summarise everything:-

- Bf came to Malaysia

- Umm.. brought him around Ipoh and ate a hell lotta food (busy putting on weight as well)

- Passed my driving test! (Which later explains my ass day)

- Watched world cup in Genting

- Spent a few days in KL, which were so not enough.

- Watched Pirates of the Carribean 2 (JUST!)

and blah d blah d..

===

I went to the JPJ place for 3 times today. DAMMIT. First off, I was told by a friend that I didn't need the bloody test card thing to have my license (which she later on denied, nevermind that, too used to it already.) Therefore, I told the driving school that I was gonna get the license myself when they could do it for me in a week's time. Thought I needed it earlier so I declined the offer which after that I procrastinated from getting the license.

Soooooo... I just got back from KL yesterday rightt... So I went to the photo shop and took passport sized photos. I swear that I told the person in charge that I was getting a license. (This relates to the assy day story, stay tuned.) So yeah, 5 pieces. Saw Kit Yin's bf at the shop. Ohhh, drove dad's car to the shop without permission anyway which was fun, don't think he would blame me anyway.

After thattttt, I prepared my IC and shit, without getting the test card cause I had a mindset that I didn't need it. Mum picked us up and had lunch and then went to the JPJ place. (Saw Kit Yin's bf again! haha, speaking of coincidence..)

First off, filled in the form and then told the ass government servant that I wanted to get my license. She then said: You can't get your license without the blue card.

Me: FFFFFFFFARKKKK(didn't say it out lah..). WHY NOT.

Snob: Cause you didn't bring your test card!

Me: My friend said I don't need thatttt!!

Snob: No way lah!!!

Me: OMGWTFBBQ...... :O :O :O

=( So damn sad that time. This kinda thing doesn't happen to me often so it was quite traumatising to me. I remember calling the certain friend once I passed my driving test, asking her if I had to get the whatever test card thing to get license or not and she assured me that I didn't have to! (Later on I questioned her again and she went - I took my license one month after I took the test wurt! I didn't tell you you could get it straight away!)

If murdering wasn't a sin/crime, she would be dead by now.

Back to the story. Sooooo, mum was rushing for a meeting that time and I HAD TO GET MY LICENSE LATEST BY TODAY BECAUSE I'M LEAVING ON SUNDAY ALREADY. Frigging rush I tell you! Mum speeded and sent me to the driving school and waited for another person to send me the test card. Waited... For roughly 20 minutes, quickly took a cab to the JPJ place again. Credits to the taxi driver whom I met today, charged me at a really reasonable price and also a friendly person.

Marched back to the familiar place, went to the counter straight away and this friendly servant told me that I had to get number, so I went and wanted to get number. The man then told me...

"This photo is too big for license! Look, can't cut the head out! You need to change to a smaller one"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.. CAN LAHHHH!!!!!"

"I say cannot means cannot lah!"

!!!! OMG OMG OMG man.

WHUT TU DU!?

I thought for a while (A while means 3 seconds because I seriously was runnint outta time. That government place closed at 4.30 today and when that tragedy happened it was already 3.35pm) and decided to hail a cab again and go back to the photo shop.

=( !!!

Asked the lady to quickly print out the smaller photo, hailed another taxi again. Asked the driver to speed! Drivers I met today were all pretty friendly though, consolation. He then made me reach there in less than 10 minutes' time, KUDOS MATE!!!!!

AT FUCKING LAST!!!

I got my license already. THANK GOD MAN.

ASSY DAY!!!!!!!

Haven't been that rushed before! After that, argued with bf for a bit, so pissed off! Pissed off at many things today, boo!

Nevermind, at least I'm a legal driver now

===

I prefer Pirates of the Carribean 1. 2's still good though, british accent w00t.

Italy won. Sorry to all the france lovers out there, I supported Italy when I was in genting. Painted flags on face, lovely!

Spent so much in KL.

The Winter...

Posted by mayyan at 11:48 AM on July 20, 2006.

Is so cold!! I've been telling everyone that the temperature's about 10 but my aunt just proved me wrong! It's about 5 to 6 degree eh? Doesn't matter, all I know is that my hands and feet are freezing all the time! Ahh!

Heater is wonderful. The way I depend on the heater now is just like how I need air-con when I'm back in Malaysia. HOWEVER, my brilliant bf accidentally kicked the heater when we were watching a movie last night and pffft!

The heater is broken now  . ()

On the other hand, this weather makes u feel sleepy all the time! I'm here for 4 days already and I've been sleeping so much. The first day when I'm here, we reached the airport at about 7am (And then something happened which made us spent another extra hour there). After which, we dozed off from about 9am until the sky went dark, which's 5pm-ish. WHOOOOO.

Feels great to sleep with bf when the weather's cold, ah.. the warmth, body temperature that is. wheeee. And also for the past two days, I only managed to wake up at about 3 and only managed to catch 2 hours of daylight. Geez.. I realised that I actually love the sun. All we did in these few days was sleeping.. and then took a walk in the cold wind. Went to safeway for my mud cake yesterday , mmm. But dang, won't do that anymore cause the weather seriously makes me just wanna stay at home all day. After coming back from Safeway, we slept in for 3 hours again. Had dinner at 11pm, gahaha. I cooked. Because his mum went out.

Heading back to Geelong later. I feel bad because I shouldve gone there since the first day I arrived but ahhh...

Anyways, will update more soon cause I need to go now.

Short course

Posted by mayyan at 01:57 PM on July 26, 2006.

Soooooo.. I've been following bf to the Uni. Was at the Union House  today and then found out that there're still short courses which're available for this winter.

Am pretty sure that I'm gonna enrol for one of those but it's a pain in the butt to choose which course to take.

Kickboxing? (been wanting to do this for quite some time already)

French? (I like languages!)

Bellydancing? (Ummm.. I like it.)

Ballroom dancing? (Used to learn this but I guess I don't remember most of it, it was fun anyway..)

Acting? (I like arts.)

or..

Oil Painting? (dang..)

Rawrrrr..! And then I realise that I'm actually interested in almost everything.

Take em' all?

Essendon vs Brisbane Lions..!

Posted by mayyan at 09:21 PM on July 29, 2006.

Just got back from Telstra Dome the stadium! Watched Aussie football together with bf and also his family and whoo, it was pretty damn cold!

Got the level 3's tickets but somehow bf and I managed to sneak to level one and had an awesome view. (Didn't really need to sneak anyway.. Nobody was checking tickets! )

Was freezing my arse off anyway.. Gates were just right behind us. But it was worth it, atmosphere was cool too! Soooo... We supported Essendon & they beat the lions! I still prefer soccer though.. This game is too easy to score!

But I guess I'm liking it, will be checking out the next game and all. Hopefully I'll get to go for Geelong's match, versus whosoever.

Am tired, will try to post some pictures soon cause it's been ages since I last uploaded any pics. Not like anybody wants to see anyway, ha.

And ohh... I chose French for my short course thing. =)
